Pete and I have spent many hours understanding the community needs in the mountain areas and also Pakistan as a whole.
Enriching the lives of these people and leaving the place better than we found it is always of great importance to us.
Pete has shared some great ideas that will be great for our legacy projects and also for our future here.
Having shared some future plans with Ateef our Pakistani liaison officer we can see some real benefits to be had with spending time and resources with our HAPs. Like with our training pictured here.
• Technical ability
These 3 strains will be the key areas that we hope to leave behind and build on for future years.
We have such a great resource here at base camp, 5 really good men who are from smaller villages who are directly impacted by tourism and mountaineering. With our broken Pakistani/British communication we speak often about what is needed and very much to our surprise the answer was never “money”.
Pete and I look forward to developing this more when we have a successful ascent under our belt.
