Woodlands Xperiences (WX) specialises in providing outdoor adventures and training for families and children. Outdoor learning and living in the open environment have a proven benefit to our modern lifestyles, Education and future Careers. Through Woodland Xperiences we would like to share our knowledge, experiences and skills with others, so that they may also benefit from the outdoors, enhancing education, Life skills, College assignments and engagement. This is delivered through outdoor, woodland and adventurous based activities.
The aim of this weeklong course is to remove children from the internet and mobile devices, giving them the opportunity to develop team, individual leadership skills, whilst having the adventure of a lifetime in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District. This is an opportunity to gain adventure, life & employability skills that are no longer provided by modern education.
All those attending the course will be living in tents for the duration, will be expected to take part in camp duties like preparing meals, washing up and collecting and preparing firewood. The facilities are basic with individual washing from a bowl and chemical lavatory facilities in the camp area. There are limited hot showers for use. Otherwise, camp attendees will be taught and then expected to administer themselves whilst on camp. Please be aware that this is an adventure camp with few facilities where we encourage the students to enjoy the opportunity of living in the wild.
Camp is limited to 16 attendees only so be sure to reserve your place.
